Changes Effective October 1, 2020
U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced that the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) will be adjusted and increased, effective October 1, 2019.
The rate for calculating MPF, 0.3464%, will remain unchanged, however the minimum and maximum assessments will increase slightly.
For formal entries, the new minimum MPF will increase from $26.79 to $27.23, while the maximum will increase from $519.76 to $528.33.
The MPF for informal entries will increase from $2.14 to $2.18.
